Universum has released their list of the Top 50 most attractive engineering employers.
"In the engineering category the IT-sector companies continue to dominate:
the top three employers – Google, Microsoft, and IBM – maintain their positions from last
year. The notable changes are Japan’s Sony at no. four and Apple’s new entry. German
car manufacturer BMW is still the most powerful employer brand in the automotive industry.
In the top 10, where American corporations dominate, praise must also be given to Siemens
for their 8th position."
The number of American companies has increased from 17 in 2009 to 24 in 2010 so it appears that US companies are still the preferred destination for top talent. Another interesting note is that a Chinese company made it to the list for the first time, Lenovo.
