  • Ice Breaker: The Gathering Walkthrough Level - 1 to 4

Ice Breaker: The Gathering Ice Breaker: The Gathering
Save the frozen vikings by getting them back to their longboat!

    Level 1

The bomb there is a new addition to the game. Cutting across it blows it up, along with everything near it – ice, wood, stone, Vikings, you name it. As such, it's a little dangerous. Get it out of the way by cutting as marked.

Next, kill that rock dragon by blowing a hole in it.

Finally, cut the Viking free of the dragon's maw so that he falls into the boat.

    Level 2

    Physics!

This level isn't that difficult, although the timing can be. We need to rotate that big wooden gear one hundred and eighty degrees. That will set off a chain reaction that will throw the Viking into the boat.

Start by cutting off about half the icicle.

Then cut off the second half of the icicle.

    Riveting gameplay, I'm sure.

    Level 3

The arm connecting the Viking to the rest of this stone sculpture is dangerously thin. You'd think, from prior experience, that we need to blow that up and let the Viking fall into the boat, but the angle is wrong for that. Instead, our target is the pin in the center of the lever.

First, blow up the bomb on the right.

The only thing bombs don't blow up is other bombs. Airburst this bomb while it rolls over the pin. Be sure not to do it too late, or it'll blow up the thin bridge and drop the Viking into the ocean.

    Level 4

First, we need to even this thing out. Blow this bomb to lighten the right-hand side of the rock.

Next, we need to blow a hole in the rock wall below us. Cut this rope, and let this bomb fall down the whole towards the big spinning rock.

Blow the bomb to fully open the hole.

Now timing becomes a factor. Cut this rope…

And as the Viking slides down, cut this one. It's important not to cut too early, or the Viking will be thrown off the rock. Cut too late, however, and you won't be able to blow the bomb without killing the Viking.

Once the bomb has landed, but before the Viking does, you need to blow it, quickly. This can be fairly difficult, as the bomb won't stop bouncing in time.

The hole you open up in the big spinning rock will then neatly deposit the Viking into the boat.
