Lurch		 Is soap used in wet vibration tumbling? View All
In the process of wet vibration tumbling for metal plishing, you add soap water to the tumbler. What is the point in this and how does the concentration of the soap effect the process.

 I would venture to say the soap is being used for lubrication. In terms of concentration I imagine it depends largely on the liquid detergent being used as some are more concentrated than others. The side benefit of using soap is that its relatively cheap and has the ability to clean any surface oils.
