How is air conditioning bad for the environment? View All
My A/C in my car is leaking. I was curious how A/C is bad for the environment. I've also heard that some types of refrigerant are more harmful than others. Which refrigerants are the worst for the environment, and can I switch from one type to another with my car?

contains chloro-fluoro-carbons (CFC's), which are suspected of causing damage to the ozone layer.
