What is the bdst way to build a bridge, taking into account the longevity and stability of the bridge?

 This would be determined by what the bridge will be used for. If it's for heavy duty applications i.e. a dual carriageway for big trucks etc then it'll need to be extremely strong. If however it's for ants to walk across, then match-sticks would be perfectly sufficient. If it's a short bridge, thick concrete would probably do the trick but if it's long and spanning a great distance, a suspension bridge might be the answer. Before trying to build a suspension bridge, however, please please *please* take a lesson from the guys in Tacoma by having a look at the following links...
