If physicists do prove the existence of gravitons then there will need to be a number of changes to the Standard Model since a graviton is hypothesized to have zero mass [1].

Although this question could be considered by some not to be an engineering question, the bottom line is that engineers will be there to design the equipment necessary to detect them.
