What 2mm thick rectangular section mild steel tube can I use for large pivoting window frame? View All
Frame 3m High x 1,5m Wide carrying a single piece of 8.4mm laminated glass. Frame is pivoted centrally top and bottom. Is a 50mm square section steel frame OK? Or 70 x 50mm section? Or square 40mm section, etc?

You are asking a question which requires specific engineering analysis. That is beyond the scope of this forum.

How the outer frame is supported in the wall is as important is the specific design of the frame.
